ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The workshop was held on 10 October 2024 at the premises of the Association of Cities, with the aim of preparing cities to apply for the open call issued by the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets, “Pilot project for the development of green infrastructure and/or circular management of space and buildings”.

The workshop was organised as part of the Association of Cities’ activities in its role as a contact point for the European Urban Initiative (EUI) and was funded by EU resources, with representatives of nine cities taking part (Čazma, Kastav, Rovinj, Sisak, Slatina, Slavonski Brod, Varaždin, Zagreb and Zaprešić).

THE PURPOSE OF THE WORKSHOP

The workshop was designed as a transfer of EU project logic into practical work: through the theoretical framework, participants received an overview of key measures in green infrastructure and circular management of space and buildings, and then, in groups, developed project proposals in line with the call requirements.

Working on a concrete case (the situation in the City of Velika Gorica), the groups elaborated their proposals, began completing the application form, and presented their work with a focus on the expected score and the planned co-financing rate, followed by a final discussion on differences in solutions and scoring.
